  • Moving to Birmingham!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well hello to all of my wonderful friends....

I thought I would put this whole social networking thing to the ultimate test!

First of all, I am moving to the Birmingham area! Yeah - I know some of you are saying FINALLY! (Not to mention any names - Lori, Pastor Tommy, Asha, Ton, Kristie, Lins, Perry, Kathryn!) Sorry I couldn't resist calling some of you out!! LOL  Anyway, I am in search of a couple of things and I am hoping that one, some, or all of you can help me.

I need a job! If you know of any jobs in the Alabaster/Pelham/Hoover/ Trussville/anywhere in th B'ham area please let me know. My degree is in Human Development and Family Studies .... It's kind of a cross between Social Work and Pyschology. It is a human services career field. BUT I am not just looking in my field. I am not picky; I will work pretty much anywhere I can find a job. Okay for the few of you that are thinking of making smart comments about McDonalds or something.... make wise choices! : ) No really - I have tons of  clerical experience and have done ministry stuff for years... so PLEEEEEASE let me know if you hear of anything. I am looking to move as soon as I get a job.

I am also looking for a house in the Birmingham area, so if you know of anyone needing yo sell their house let me know.

Last but not least - I also need a roommate (or roommate(s). If you know any girls that are looking for a roommate let me know.

Okay, so I've put this out there so we will see what happens!

    Love you guys!

    Happy Monday......

Okay ... Okay so it has been like a million years!

Okay, I know it has been such a long time since I have been on xanga. . . I almost forgot that I had a xanga site. So here is the long and short of my life over the past 2 years. I graduated from Auburn in May 2006 and moved to St. Louis in June. I worked there for a year and a half at the St. Louis Dream Center. I was the Director of an addiction recovery home. I loved my job. It was definitely the learning experience of my life. I would not trade my time there for a million dollars. . . and believe me I could really use a million dollars. = ) In October of last year God told me my time there was up and so I resigned my position and moved to Pensacola, FL. My extended family lives here. It has been really nice being close to family, BUT I am soon to move to the Birmingham area which I am SUPER excited about!! Please pray that God will help me find a roommate/place to live and a job. IF ANYONE HAS ANY SUGGESTIONS I AM DEFINITELY INTERESTED IN HEARING THEM!

Okay, so now that you have the update from my life - let me hear from you.

Oh yeah and let me just say it's great to be back to the wonderful world of xanga!

    Peace!

  • In reply to a few who wanted my thought on the "Fake it till you make it" post. . . Here it is:

I believe that the devil would like to try to make you believe that you have to fake it BUT the real deal is you have to "FAITH it till you make it." Let me say right now that I know that it is a whole lot easier for me to say that than do it, but let me tell you what -- it is so worth it!
The bible says: "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for." Hebrews 11:1-2

Faith is NOT seeing the result and still believing that it is there! The bible also says that Abraham's faith was accounted to him as righteousness and he was called a friend of God.

"And the scripture was fulfilled that says, "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness," and he was called God's friend." James 2:23

That tells me something, if you want to be God's friend then believe, trust, and obey!

If you will do these things even when you don't feel like it, then God will surely bless you with an abundance of His love, peace, joy, and all that comes with being a friend of God!

If you want to read more about what I think about the "Fake it till you make it" scenario, read Hebrews 12. I dare you!  So, ultimately what I believe is that you don't "Fake it" you "Faith it!"

Blessings to all and MUCH LOVE!
